Love Your Selfie: Document Your Story with the Elegance Blooms Collection

Hello, friends!

In this Valentine’s season, we want to celebrate all kinds of love, including self-love! It is easy to document our families and forget to get in front of the camera. For that reason, we are celebrating “selfie love” today with two wonderful projects from our Creative Team.

Tracie is a long-time selfie scrapbooker, with an important story to document today.

“It’s no secret that I take a lot of selfies and never really have a problem scrapbooking myself, so I wanted to approach this layout differently. We live in a world with all of the crazy filters that literally make you look like someone you’re not. I wanted to do a comparison layout between a heavily-filtered photo and my *ACTUAL* face, which *gasp* I actually prefer!

I decided I wanted my title to make a big impact, so I used two alphas from the Elegance Blooms Collection and an alpha stamp to make it extra large.

Other than that, I kept the layout fairly simple, fussy cutting two floral clusters from an insert in the Elegance Blooms Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit and adding my journaling on strips.

Watch this spread come together in this process video below”

Audrey likes taking selfies with moments when she is out and about.

“Hello, Daisies!! Who can ever have enough selfies? I can’t, I just love them. I took this selfie in front of NY City Hall while on my daily walk through Manhattan. I then paired it with a screenshot of the workout that I did. This selfie lives in my Healthy Lifestyle Journal.

A few tips on how this came together. I used one of the tags from the Elegance Blooms Classified: Memory Keeping Kit to anchor my background. I used the string from the kit bags for the tag. I then popped up my selfie using pop dots from my stash.

I ended with some chipboard from the Elegance Blooms Collection scattered around the page that went with my selfie love theme. I used a sticker tag from the Elegance Blooms Memory Keeping Sticker Kit and voila, my selfie was documented. Cheers, all.”

We hope you are inspired to get in front of the camera and document your selfie! Share with us by tagging @cocoa_daisy on social media or posting to the Cocoa Daisy Fan Page. Make sure to visit our Pinterest page and the Cocoa Daisy YouTube Channel for more inspiration.
