Tips and Tricks with a Process Video

Good Morning Daisies! It’s Kelly here, and today I am going to share with you a layout I created and how you can recreate the background. This technique is super fun, easy, and makes for a quick background with minimal work and drying time.

The supplies needed to create this background are minimal. You will need two shades of acrylic paint (I prefer heavy body paint) and a brayer. I used white and a dark blue and then mixed the two together for a medium blue. I dabbed some paint along the edge of my cardstock, placing the white at the top, the medium shade of blue in the middle, and the darker shade at the bottom. Then with my brayer, I rolled the paint across the paper. It only took a few minutes to dry since the brayer allows you to use a little bit of paint which is always a plus.

I cut the sun out using my silhouette cameo and stitched messily around the edges in orange thread. I love the little detail that it adds to the page.

I’ve linked my process video where you can see just how easy it is to create this background. I hope that this inspires you to get a little messy! Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope that you have a wonderful day!
