As you might be able to tell by it’s looks, the acrylic stamping block that came in the April planner kit has gotten quite the work out from me. But it’s not just good for stamps! Because it’s so thin and always handy I found another use for it… letter layout!
I use alpha stickers A LOT and it can be fussy to get them just right on the paper only to realize they are too far left or need more space or less space or would look better on the other side of the paper. You know what I mean. So I’ve started using the stamp block (which is still available and even on sale right now!) to help me out. I simply stick the bottom third of the letters on the block and play around with their placement and spacing. Because it’s plastic the letters come off easy. When I’ve got it just right, I can move them around on the page and find the perfect place to put them! I then apply pressure to the top half of the stickers while lifting the block from under them.
This was especially nice while working in the new Simple Dori. I feel like I am forever sticking and unsticking alpha stickers trying to find the perfect place for them. I loved this bold page and paired it with some recent flowery photos and a favourite song lyric and a perfect ribbon cluster using papers, die cuts, ribbon and washi from July’s kits.
So clever! I have this block. Thanks for the tip. I will try it out soon.
Wow, Odessa, I love this spread! Thank you so much for sharing!
