Tissue Paper Tips

Good Morning, Daisies! I hope you all got what you wanted at reveal last night! The April kits are pretty amazing and the May planner kits are gorgeous! I can’t wait for all that green goodness to arrive at my house. May is always a special month for me because it’s my birthday month. The May planner and scrapbook kits have always been a favorite in my heart.

Moving on to my tips for today. How many of you have a stack of the black & white polka dots tissue paper that Christine has been using in packaging kits? I have a large stash of the stuff and I never run out of ideas to use it. I love black and white and can always find a way to add it to my projects to make things pop. Today I’m hear to share a few of the ways I used the tissue paper on my March projects.

Use it as a border. On this page I cut out strips of the tissue paper, scrunched it up and stapled it to the page with ruffles and layers. I love that you can see through it to add layers to the page, without adding bulk.

Here I made a vertical ruffled border and layered a skinny piece of cardstock over it to ground the ruffle to the page.

I used Mod Podge to cover the mini DaisyDori for March and made it into a mini book.(more on this guy to come in the next few days). I love the look of the kraft cover showing through, while adding a subtle print to the cover of the mini dori.

Inside the mini DaisyDori, I used the tissue as a photo mat to add a little texture to the page. It’s a subtle look once the photo is added, but I love the texture and layers it adds.

You can see the tissue behind the photos here.

More Mod Podge and DITL cards. They are a match made in paper-crafting heaven. I love how these cards turned out with the subtle texture of the tissue adhered to these cards.

Now it’s your turn. What do you do with the cool tissue Christine sends out with our kits? I’m hoping you save it and find ways to add it to your kits as and additional product to play and make your projects even prettier and more amazing!

Have a great day, all!

Alissa
