March Stamping Sensation

I love getting creative with stamps! They are such a versatile supply, with endless possibilities!

Using the Heidi Swapp wood stamp included in this month’s DITL kit, I created a fun mixed media effect on this layout:

This technique is so simple! All you have to do is spread some paint onto your page (I used a palette knife and white acrylic paint), then stamp into the wet paint. Once it is dry, simple apply some watercolor paint to accent the impression. Easy and fun!

For this next page, I used the same stamp to create the base of my circle embellishments. Using Archival ink in black, I simply stamped multiple times in the shape of a circle. I just love how repeating an element like this can create such a graphic impact.

And, for one more page… I couldn’t resist playing with the floral stamp from a few kits back to create my little fussy cut embellishment:

Jody put her stamps to good use too!

She has this to say about her fun page:

I, of course, used the wooden handled stamp multiple times…so fun and it mimics the coffee color plus how much I love my morning cup!

And, just like me, she can’t keep her hands off of that awesome floral stamp either…

Here is what she has to say about this gorgeousness:

For this layout, I used a partial piece of scrap paper that I had practiced stamping the floral image on as a layer on the background. It’s my favorite CD stamp right now, so I love putting it to use whenever I can!

Lisa joins us too with this gorgeous page, putting the stamp into action for her border:

I hope this has inspired you to put your stamps to use in some fun ways! We would love to see what you make! Be sure to share your creations with us in our gallery!
