Good Morning, Daisies and happy reveal day! Are you as excited for reveal today as I am? I love seeing all the new stuff and the projects all the girls have made. It’s so awesome to be able to see so many different ideas with the same set of curated products. Speaking of reveal, are you loving the new reveal process? Lots of goodies all over social media all day long to get you excited about making your purchases when the shop opens for subscribers at 9PM ET!
Speaking of reveal projects. I’ve got a couple here for you today. Wendy and I thought we’d focus on one product each and give you an idea, or two, on how to use them.
Let’s start with Wendy’s page:
Wendy had this to say about fussy cutting out elements.
I was completely drawn to the floral/fern paper and the word paper! While these papers are amazing, I wouldn’t know how to use them in their entirety, so fussy cutting was the key for me on these papers. You will definitely be seeing them on more of my items this month.
As for me, I focused on the yellow pom pom trim included in the main kit.
Side note, I was surprised to see that Wendy and I did the same thing with the script font paper by leaving on the “branding strip” as a design element.
Although the pom pom trim is super cute, I know there have been times in my past where I’ve said to myself, what do I do with that? How do I attach it? Here I used it as a border element in the line of uneven strips under my main photo element and I attached it with my tiny attacher stapler. I love how it turned out and I think it adds so much to the texture of the page.
I can’t wait to see what you all do with the gorgeous papers and the yellow trim. I’m sure you all have some great ides for them, as well.
Happy Reveal Day, everyone!
Alissa
Love the layering you both did and how cute is that pom-pom! Who said tropic paper and colors could not be used for anything other than Hawaiian vacations (cute photo of you and Mum by the wreath bar). Psst…..you might not want to focus on cut files as we have not received them since Sept. It’s killing me.
Ya, the cut file issue is like salt in an open wound. I’d rather not even see them on design team layouts. ?Comment
