Setup Saturday with the Koi Pond Collection

Hello, friends!
It’s Setup Saturday and we have three planner setups to share with you, so let’s dive right in!
Cheryl’s personal planner setup is always so beautiful!
The Koi Pond is not only stunning but perfect for June in my home. The theme is all things my daughter loves and June is her birthday month! The colors are muted jewel tones that work perfectly with my Spice Whiskey from Foxy Fix. I always add a washi sampler card in the front pocket when setting up my planner. Cocoa Daisy included in the Koi Pond Main Planner Kit a beautiful acrylic washi card with a Koi Fish design! I have a laminated vellum pocket, and a laminated folder, in the front pocket to hold stickers and stencils.
One of the first dashboards I created for this set-up is the “Hello June” which is at the front of my planner. I trimmed a 1/4″ off all sides of the dashboard from the Koi Pond Planner Dashboard Kit and matted it on the coral patterned paper. I added a fish die-cut and layered it with the “Hello” foam sticker from the Koi Pond Modern Memory Keeping Kit. I also ruffled some washi under “June” and layered the “just go with the flow” sticker from the Koi Pond Memory Keeping Sticker Kit.
I use the colorful 7 days on one page from the Koi Pond Personal Size Inserts for my gratitude and added ruffled washi tape, and die-cut fans with the “take a moment to enjoy.” I thought this sticker was perfect for what I am using the pages for!
I generally decorate my entire month before it begins but leave plenty of space to add notes, and additional stickers.
I decorate a dashboard for each section of my planner. I almost always matte the dashboards with pretty patterned paper. I used the “Month at a Glance” tab sticker on the upper right hand of “our intention creates our reality.”
My favorite decorating tip is to layer stickers on top of ruffled washi tape. The fan dashboard is for my “To-Do List” section.
The crane and cherry blossom dashboard from the Koi Pond Planner Dashboard Kit is for my “June Goals” which I still need to write out!
The last dashboard I set up is for my “Notes.” I have plain paper behind the tab for general note-taking.
In my previous blog post, I showed you how to create 3 pocket pages. Here the pocket pages are in action in my planner. They are perfect for holding smaller stickers or remnants of large sheets of stickers.
Below, you will find video of a quick walk-through of my planner below. I hope you enjoy it!
We got to see Laurie’s Daisy Dori Setup and now we get a peek inside her ring setup.
I have been using both the B6 ring inserts and the B6 daisy Dori for all of my planning needs this year. Each month I have a basic formula that I follow. What helps to keep it fresh and interesting is the different themes and colors that Cocoa Daisy creates for us each month.
I include a decorated monthly calendar, my daily pages, a spiritual section, and a notes section in my rings planner.
This month I want to showcase some of the layering and pockets I have made for my spiritual and notes sections. I used one of the smaller dashboards from the Koi Pond Planner Dashboard Kit to create a mini divider in my notes section. I made a small tab and took one of the charms off of the paperclip and tied it to a paper loop with some twine. I really like how it adds just a bit of interest to the dashboard. Quick and easy with just a small pop of interest and a different way to use the charms.
I did something very similar to the pocket page I made in my notes section. I always include a pocket to hold random notes/receipts I want to keep throughout the month. In this case, I added the charm to a paper tassel I made and attached it to the pocket with an islet.
For my gratitude section, I layered some of the stickers from the Koi Pond Bible Journaling Kit to make the dashboard.
Just for fun, I like to include a small version of the clear pocket pages. I cut down an A5 clear pocket page and decorated it using the leftover scraps of paper and some die cuts and stickers, from the Koi Pond Planner Add-On Kit and the Koi Pond Bible Journaling Kit. Even though I follow a formula each month, I still feel like it is fresh and new because of the different elements included in our kits each month.
For the past few months, I have used the vertical section of the Daisy Planner as my work planner, and I am loving it!
To set up my month, I first remove the horizontal weeklies, since I don’t use them in this setup. That leaves one week of horizontal pages that I can either adhere together or, I can utilize them! I created a goals page using the three sections of the horizontal page. The General Store Alpha Stamp Set takes up the perfect amount of space with a big impact. For each section, I stamped the checklist from the Memory Planning Step by Step Bundle for my three goals.
I love the pocket cards from the Modern Memory Keeping Kit but I don’t always have a place in my memory planner for the 4×6 cards. I decided to put them to use and created a dashboard for June on the left page.
My monthly page always starts pretty blank but fills up as the month progresses. I like to add a little bit of stamped embellishments to give the page a little bit of interest. The stamp set from the Koi Pond Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit is great for planners and memory keeping! I did some repeat stamping across the top of the page in the ink colors that coordinate with this collection. Some of these ink colors seem to always coordinate, which is great for me!
Lastly, I go ahead and stamp out the dates on the weekly pages. I started the most by switching up the ink for each week, but just couldn’t help myself with my favorite blue (speckled egg) so I went with it! It’s pretty neutral and will work with July’s Wayfarer Collection, too. If you want to see my setup from start to finish, make sure to check out this setup video on my YouTube!
