Prep for April with the Meadow Collection

Hello, friends!

It’s the end of another month and time to start thinking about our planner setups for April! Do you know what April showers bring? An opportunity to stay inside, cozy up with a warm beverage and get creative in our planners! So, let’s get some planner inspiration from our Creative Team and see how they are getting ready for April with the Meadow Collection.

Jennifer’s planner is all ready to go and boy, do we like what we see!

“I’ve been using Cocoa Daisy in my standard traveler’s notebook for some time now, and the process I use each month has been streamlined. My favorite part of the month is making dashboards and dividers for my notebook.
You can watch my full process here:
My favorite dashboard for April turned out to be my last dashboard; I layered some of the paper from the Meadow Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit with the Gary card from the Meadow Classified: Planner Kit and I just adore it! Gary definitely has his priorities straight!
My first dashboard serves two purposes: One, it’s pretty to look at. Do you have a favorite spot in your setup? This is mine! The butterfly acetate from the Meadow Classified: Planner Kit layered with the calendar card from the Meadow Modern Memory Keeping Kit is perfect. This brings me to its second purpose: I can open my planner up and easily see the monthly calendar at a glance.
This month, I’m also using the Meadow Daisy Dori in the Standard Size. This insert is so versatile and I’ve used it for many purposes over the years. This month, it will be a journal and memory planner all in one! Here’s a little sneak of the first entry. The stickers layer so nicely together, don’t you think?”

“I always get so excited when the new month’s collection arrives! I can’t wait to open them up and start planning how I am going to use them. I have an acrylic “make-up” organizer that I got on Amazon that I use to set up my kits. I organize the papers, stickers, rub-ons, alphabets, and die-cuts by type.
I immediately pull out the tools that I will need – a paper trimmer (I use the Tonic 8″ guillotine), fine tip scissors, a 6-inch ruler, hole punch, double-sided adhesive, stamps, and ink.
I lay out my inserts as to how I want them in my planner – monthly calendar, 7 colorful days on one page followed by one week, etc. The daily to-dos are at the end.
My favorite kit stickers are in the Meadow Classified: Planner Kit. There are decorative date covers along with additional deco stickers that are perfect for each day. I also receive the Meadow Daisy Add-on Sticker Kit – the vellum decorative stickers are amazing!
I put the alphabet stickers in their own pile as I use them for dashboards and to enhance my planning.
I also receive the Meadow Modern Memory Keeping Kit which gives me additional patterned papers and pocket cards for designing my dashboards and memory keeping in my planner.
I find that putting each decorative element in similar piles makes it so much easier to see and grab what I want as I design. I hope this helps you get organized in your planning preparation!”
Laurie has definitely put her Meadow Collection items to work inside her planners, and we are inspired!
“When I receive my monthly box, I first decide which papers and dashboards I want to use to decorate my individual TN covers. I typically have about 3 inserts in my “Everyday Day Carry” planner. I keep a menu planner, a housekeeping planner and monthly purchases insert; these are in addition to the Daisy Dori from each monthly kit. This month I used one of the personal-sized Meadow Dashboards and the Meadow Planner Printables to decorate my covers. I used some papers from my stash (for the bases) that coordinate with the beautiful pastel papers from this month’s kit. I like to add layers and dimension to my covers rather than the inside pages so as not to add too much bulk inside the inserts.
For my monthly menu plan, I decided to keep a record of how many times we eat out, or do take out. I also created a shopping list/bookmark so I can find the current month’s menu quickly. For this spread, I used the stickers and the die cuts from the MPK and Planner sticker kit. I used the washi from the Meadow Planner Add-On Kit.
In addition to covering all of my TN inserts, I like to make a monthly file folder. I usually make it an A5 size as then it will house all of the stickers, etc that I am using during the month. At the end of the month, I store the completed spreads and items I want to save. For this month’s folder, I had fun altering one of the personal-sized Meadow Dashboards, using some stickers from theMeadow Planner Kit and Meadow Planner Add-On Kit, along with the Meadow Planner Printables. I am such a lover of bunnies I decided to make this an all bunny cover so I used some of the umbrella shapes and covered the pug. Pug lovers, please don’t be too mad😜
I use about 2-3 planners per month. The one that stays on my desk is a B6 rings planner. I love the monthly calendar pages that come In the Meadow Planner Kit with the rings insert. I like to decorate this and use it more as a memory-keeping/highlights reminder. I don’t do any real planning from this calendar, it is strictly eye candy for me each month. I love it when Christine adds rub-ons to the kit and I went all out using the beautiful pink blossoms which I think adds just the right amount of spring cheerfulness!!”
