Hello Daisies! I hope you are all getting into the swing of this new year and ready for the first sketch challenge of 2015. The details are this: you have until January 20th to upload your page, card or project to the Cocoa Daisy gallery and post that you are participating in the message board post here. You are then eligible to win a $10 voucher to the Cocoa Daisy boutique! {Note: Your page/project does not have to be scrapped with Cocoa Daisy kits to be eligible for prize. Just scrap your stash or kit if you like and have fun!} To get you inspired and excited to play along with this challenge I get to share several pages that the design team has already created based on this sketch.

Christine’s beautiful fall layout was the inspiration for the sketch design. Her clean layout, bold use of colors and symmetry are great starting points for creating your own interpretation.

I stayed closely to the sketch design basics using the January Pajama Kit and loved using the glassine baggies as part of the background ‘grid’ as well as the vellum feathers for soft details.

Anna’s page closely resembles the sketch too, and she used lots of layers to make her photo and details pop! I love her use of stamps as a boarder on this page too! They mix and match with traditional stitching perfectly!

Nicole played around the the basics, but switched up the squares with some circles that add a dramatic and charming touch to the overall design. So fun! The mix of patterns and papers is a great way to add energy to this sketch too!

Lisa and Ashli pushed the boundaries a bit further with their respective pages and the results are just as striking and fun as well!

So you can see from one basic sketch there are unlimited ways to interpret the design and use it to jumpstart your own page or project.
