Do you love a good sketch like I do? I used to not like them, but then realized how flexible they really were. You can enlarge, flip, take one thing, shrink, add too, etc. any sketch and use it as a jumping off point. What a great tool to have!
The November Sketch Challenge is base on a layout Sharmaine did a few months ago, Dark Mofo Rabbit. It’s a design I probably never would have come up with on my own, but it was such a fun one to work with, it stretched me to do things I normally wouldn’t try, like journaling in three different places. Fun!
Here are some examples of what you can do with this sketch.
Alissa turned it into a classy, multi-photo 8.5×11 page and made her journaling out of large strips of words.
Sharmaine shows the flexibility of her own design by switching out title for a journaling block. I love her big bold use of paper on this.
Lisa went minimalistic on her journaling, but really played up the circles embellishments in the sketch. How fun that she used the wood veneer circles so many ways on this page.
I stayed pretty true to the sketch, only adding to the photo cluster.
I hope you’ll join us for the challenge this month, there’s a $10 Cocoa Daisy code in it for one lucky participant. You have until November 18th 11:59 PM ET to enter. You can post here or to the Challenge Forum thread is fine. I look forward to seeing what you come up with!
CommentLove this sketch! It’s very versatile, but I stuck close to the original design. Thanks for the challenge.

I didn’t see a spot in the challenge forum so linking up here, I was inspired by the circles. http://forum.cocoadaisy.com/gallery/image_page.php?album_id=545&image_id=21299
