May Sketch Challenge

Hello, All! Alissa here today with the sketch challenge for May. I have really come to love working with Stephanie’s sketches here at Cocoa Daisy. Love them! This month’s sketch is based on one of Lisa’s AWESOME layouts from her Hint of Sunshine gallery. I loved the layered photos and the frame on the edge of the page. We had several Design Team members play along this month with the I Am Here kits for your inspiration.

I flipped my layered photos around to go up and down and I added a border (like the original layout) that’s not on the sketch.

I love that Patrica spread out her frames and just included one photo. (And such a cute photo, too.)

Lisa added just one photo this time, too. I love how she included a journal card where the 2nd photo is in the original layout.

Piradee’s “clean” version makes me so happy! Love that she used hearts and butterflies in place of the circles on the sketch. Also, I love that Piradee and Patricia both used the cool Kelly Purkey speech bubble sticker for their titles.

Lastly, but not least, Mandie’s page makes me laugh out loud! I loved the layered photos from the sketch, the big title and the subject! So funny! 🙂

Now it’s your turn. You will have until May 20th to create your page and post a link in the comments here or on the message board thread for the May sketch. A $10 Daisy Boutique winner will be chosen from the entries. I’ll announce the winner on the 24th on the blog.

Now, get scrappin’!

We don’t have to use the May kit though, right Alissa? I don’t think mine has shipped yet and I’m hoping to get to play soon

Great question, Laura! You can use any kit or stash you like.

I am really drawn to Piradee’s ‘clean version’ of the sketch. It’s hard for me to figure out how to have embellishments around the page with out a grounding piece. Mine always look like a “sticker sneeze”. Remember that?

Maybe there is a lesson she can teach….or has already and I just need the link.

    Good day
    Julie
