We have some great interactive designs to share with you today. Using interactive elements in your layouts can serve many purposes. While they are delightful to manipulate, they can also provide places for hidden journaling and photos or highlight beautiful patterns that might not otherwise have a chance to really shine. Let’s see what “off the page” fun our Creative Team got up to today!
Odessa also enjoys creating pockets for her memory keeping layouts,
Pockets are fabulous! I love when I find a cute dress and it has pockets so, of course, they’d make a Traveler’s notebook layout more awesome, too!
to get ready to list. I used a combo of various stickers and die cuts from the Peach Ridge Collection to fill them in. Then I added some cute die cuts from the kits above it to give the page a cute title! Adding those pockets really made this layout so fun!
Carol created flips to highlight the pattern papers in her 12×12 spread.
Often times, I reserve interactive elements for mini albums but, sometimes it’s just too hard to cover up pretty papers on a 12×12 layout and use them as “only” a matte for a photo.
The Peach Ridge Classified Memory Keeping Kit is where it’s at in terms of providing extra papers for your memory-keeping needs. Because they already have a fold in them, it’s an invitation to make flip-outs or flip-up photo spaces (as I’ve done on this layout).
The Peach Ridge Collection has so many sentiments about the sunshine and outdoors which pairs perfectly for the theme of my layout: exploring New Mexico, a land of enchantment where the sun shines 90% of the time. I used a darling “got that sunshine in my pocket” phrase sticker from the Peach Ridge Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to add on a photo of my daughter skipping across a little stream in this desert climate we live in.
On the left side of the layout, I used die-cut sticker elements from the Travelers Notebook Memory Keeping Kit to draw the eye in towards the flip-up papers. In the video, I share how to slide this into a traditional album inside a page protector, all while inviting the person flipping through the album to view the photos. Have you ever loved papers so much you wanted to let them shine on a layout?
