Hey Cocoa Daisy fans! Suzanna here today to share with you the latest installment of our December days using the December Day in the Life kit! There are both traditional pocket pages and scrapbook pages created using the wonderful Day In The Life (DITL) goodies to share with you today. Documenting the month of December with these pocket cards makes things so much easier during this exceptionally busy time of year. It’s tough to fit in that crafty time to yourself but when you get a chance, using the DITL kit will make that time much more productive.
It’s not so easy to make out the pocket cards in my layout! I wanted to share how you can use the pocket cards on layouts and not have to maintain the rectangular shape of the cards or, if you do, how they can make great layers. To get more bang for my buck, I cut the “innard” of the stitched snowflake card which is behind the picture of the two boys out so that I could use the snowflake. The “These are my People” is fussy cut from a pocket card as is the “Remember” banner that is above the boys.
Katherine also used a couple of the pocket cards on a scrapbook layout. To create some dimension on the page and do something a little different, Katherine turned up the edges and distressed them. Another great way of many, many options to use the cards for your scrapbooking needs.
Alissa created the most darling “process” pocket page, don’t you think? I love following the pictures from beginning to end as the cookie began and ended and the decorator of the cookie. Did you see how Alissa fussy cut one of the patterned papers from the scrapbooking kit and used it as trim for her pockets?
8 of the DITL cards on this pocket page from Marie! And all those photos too! Marie used a lot of the “open” spaces on the cards as frames for photos. Many of the embellishment here are elements from the subscriber exclusive print and cut files. The bottom, middle card “Y’all gonna make me lose my mind” is one of my favorites in the DITL kit!
Moon has this lovely Winter Christmas themed pocket page to share with you and she too uses a lot of the DITL cards! I love the flexibility of the Day In The Life cards that they can be used for both smaller photos or for telling your story through journaling or title.
Many of us used the same cards and did such different things with them to document our December memories. When your kit arrives, we would love for you to share your projects with us! Be sure to either upload in the gallery, share on IG with the #cocoadaisy tag or share on the Facebook page!
Thanks for popping in today!
