Marie was randomly selected to be our September Guest Designer when we had a site warming party here at Cocoa Daisy a few months back. She’s been around Cocoa Daisy for a long long time, always cheering us on and supporting us. We love Marie and her great artsy style. We think you will too!

My name is Marie, but in the Scrap World I´m known as Mison. I live with my partner and my two children, in a small village the North of Sweden. I work as a Intensive Care Nurse (with Cardiology as speciality).

My main interest is Scrapbooking. Since my early teens I´ve been creating cards (drawing, painting etc.). In 2004 when my son was born I found a lot of beautiful colored papers and embellishments in a craft shop, bought some and that was the beginning of it all… Now I spend as much time as possible at the scrap table, and it has developed to be my biggest hobby, as well as a big part of my life. For me scrapbooking is a way of contemplation. As I have a job that can be rather stressful, and two intensive children, scrapbooking gives me time to relax and run away from the “real world” for a while. It gives me a chance to use my creative nerve, and focus on my needs for a while.

My “style” is colourful and playful. I often use a lot of papers, embellishments and different mediums.I love playing with paint, inks and has almost all the time a stamped motif on my projects. I try to have the photo in focus, and to reflect the feeling of the photo in the layout. I also makes cards and altered projects. If I would call my style something – well maybe Playful Punk Chic? (if i do a romantic layout, I can´t help giving it a playful twist…)

Any time really. I create when there is time.

The lead singer, since I don´t play the guitar. Otherwise lead guitarist.

If I daydream, my name is always Sara….

Kristin Scott Thomas

6. What’s your favorite accessory?
Shoes

7. How do you cheer yourself up?
I watch “Shamless” on tv. The misery in their life always makes my problems look minor. And they are funny in the midst of all the sadness.

8. If you could have a luncheon with any three people (real or fictitious/ from any time period, dead or alive), which three people would you choose and why?
My grandfater – I do miss him, and was in my teens when he passed away. I have a lot of things I want to ask him.
Emma Green (a Swedish Athlete) – I just belive we would “click” and have a really great time.
Frodo Baggins – who could resist a hobbit?

9. What food would describe your style?
Spagetti Carbonara – It looks pretty elegant but are truly just a mess.

10. What is “dressed up” for you?
A dress, high heals and jewelery.
