We are thrilled to introduce Alexandra Sirugue-Macleod this month as our scrapbooking Guest Designer. Her beautiful clean style worked so nicely with our Flutterby March scrapbooking kit!
Hello, Bonjour! My name is Alexandra Sirugue-Macleod. I was born and grew up in Paris and I now live in Chicago with my husband and children. I discovered scrapbooking after the birth of our last child in 2004 and have been hooked ever since. I’m passionate about documenting the everyday life but I enjoy stamping and card making. When I’m not scrapping, I’m either teaching French or baking something French! I love traveling and long distance walking but have a true fear of heights and bridges.
1. When is your most creative time?
If I can have a free morning, I listen to the BBC on the computer, put the kettle on and scrap away!
2. How do you unwind?
To unwind I have to change into something comfy first. Then I have a cup of tea and then I will either get on the computer or read the paper or make something.
3. If you were in a Rock N’ Roll band, what would your job be?
That’s a fun but tough one. I suppose I would sing oh and I could be in charge of make-up,costume and prop or I would feed everyone!
4. What is your guilty pleasure?
A coconut milk frozen bar at the end of a day or two, who’s counting.
5. If your life was a movie, what actress would play you?
Meryl Streep of course. She’s the greatest and I bet she could imitate my accent very easily.
6. What’s your favorite accessory?
I love hats but I rarely wear one.
7. If your life were a novel, what would the title be?
Suskind’s Perfume or Jack Kerouac’s On The Road
8. What was your first job and how did you get it?
My first job was babysitting several small children on a camping ground. I don’t remember how I got it but I know I was way too young for the task and they had all sorts of strange rules that i had to enforce. It didn’t last long thank goodness.
9. Share three of your bucket list items with us.
I would like to see the cherry blossoms in Japan.
Do more long distance walks.
Learn another language.
10. What is “dressed up” for you?
”Dressed up” for me means high heels, a dress and a manicure/pedicure.
CommentThanks for sharing! It is always so fun to hear of another talented creator. It inspires all of us!
I can’t wait to see your completed designs! Welcome
