Daisy Love

It’s a cold and rainy night here in Missoula Montana.  I am missing summer.  Really I am missing flip flops and sunshine.  I know we are all supposed to love Fall.  Pumpkin Spice Lattes, scented candles and leg warmers are not my thing.  I am a beach babe stuck in the mountains.  I do like that with fall comes  Halloween, Thanksgiving and then one season closer to Christmas which I enjoy.  I also try to enjoy getting cozy, and catching up on books, movies and even some extra computer time.  That also means that I get to admire the loveliness in the gallery more often.  There is a lot to admire!

We have a great group here at Cocoa Daisy.  Our message board and gallery is filled with some really interesting women.  Let me introduce you to this one, Lisa Flaherty.

This month I decided to add a little interview with Lisa to explain my devotion to this wonderful Babe.

What talent would you most like to have?  “Talent or super power?? I think for a talent I’d like to be able to sing. I mean I DO sing, but any requests I’m taking are to please, stop. Lol! Now, if we are talking super powers, I’ve given this a lot of thought, and I’d want super-speed with endless endurance to use it. Speed up so I can slow down, you know? Get through the have-to’s so there is more time for the want-to’s.”

Favorite Quote?   “”Dude, suckin’ at something is the first step to being sorta good at something.” Jake from Adventure Time. I keep in touch with my son’s 8th grade teacher, and she just sent me this one. I immediately had to laminate it and put it into my planner. :)”

What is a quality you most like in a woman?   “She must like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain. Sense of humor is a must. 🙂 I love a woman with an old soul, meaning she is wise to the Big Picture and able to stave off drama. She delights in the little things, and believes in the inter-connectedness of the Universe. Bonus if she uses funny voices and accents in conversation.”

What is on your mind lately? or what is changing in your mind lately?   “I’ve been thinking a lot about the next stage of my life as my children are finishing up high school. I’ve been spending a lot of mindful visioning on what I want my life to look like in the next 3 or 5 years. When I have moments of clarity I get antsy and want that life right now (it involves living more simply, at the beach, writing and creating daily).”

Where do you find/get your strength?   “I was on the phone with my mom one day after a particularly hard morning when my kids were little. She told me to sit with a cup of tea and restart my day from there. Put that morning behind you, push the reset button and start fresh from Now. Boy, that was just what I needed. Letting go before moving on is my greatest source of strength. Sometimes I can mentally let go over a cup of tea, and sometimes by draining my thoughts in a journal. It’s stepping back that allows the release.”

Right?  She is awesome.  Here are some of my favorites from her gallery here at Cocoa Daisy.

Check out her links and her awesomeness.

Okay, let’s roll with a few more from the gallery.

Love this one by Alexa.  It’s so fun and I adore the colors.

Ami made a group of these fabulous watercolor cards.

Sherry created this beauty.  It’s magnificent.

Lastly look at this little doll.  I love this collage inspired layout by Imperia.

Thanks everyone.  Enjoy your fall days and Pumpkin Spiced Lattes!

Denise, I couldn’t agree with you more about being a summer girl missing the beach! When people are all gaga over pumpkin
Lattes and sweater weather, I’m like “How many more days until Summer?!”

    • Kelly McP

Lisa reminds me of a college roommate I adored! So funny and cool. Love her!
