Warm and Cozy at Home in the Nordic Woods

Hello Cocoa Daisy friends,

The end of the year is closing in but winter here in Michigan is just getting started. And so today we wanted to share that warm and cozy feeling of home with all of you. We are featuring happy planner and journaling layouts from design team members Casie and Melina. Let’s begin with Casie who is sharing a little about herself with us along with her design.

“”Hi there! I am Casie and I am honored to be a part of the Cocoa Daisy Memory Keeping design team. A little about me – I live in Northern California with my hubby of 16 years. We have two boys who love sports and their mama. They keep us busy with soccer, baseball, and everyday adventures. I am a pediatric intensive care registered nurse and crafting after my shift is how I relive stress. Within the memory keeping team, I will be focusing on documenting our memories in a happy planner.”

“For this layout I used cooler colors of blue and green to represent the weather change that finally came to California. It was a rainy week and we spent lots of time all together on the couch, under soft blankets – together and cozy!”

“I trimmed the pattern papers to make fill in some of the planner boxes for an extra pop of color. I trimmed the bottom of the page with a solid color paper and I love how the white sparkle swirl sticker pops off the page. For journaling, I drew pencil lines first then added my journaling, in green and blue ink, with the highlights for each day. The finishing touches for the layout include a few of the adorable memory keeping stickers that echo my warm and cozy sentiment. Thanks for joining me!”

You can see how Casie’s design came together in her happy planner with this video.

Melina is sharing her warm and cozy story with this sweet journaling layout.

“I love adding embellishments, washi and stickers, even stamping before adding my text for memory planning. That’s exactly what I did here. I add what I want then fit the text in.”

”I’ve had a a great few days at home doing christmas-y stuff and that’s my favorite place, home. I hope you had a great Christmas and were able to relax at home to enjoy the season! Happy new year everybody!”

There are many ways to document our memories and we love sharing our design team’s ideas, processes, and mediums with all of you. Have a wonderful weekend friends!
