Hello, again! It’s Rachel here, and I am back on the blog to show how I planned next week in my Mini Happy Planner using the Daisy Weeks Sticker Kit. I know this sticker kit is meant for the Hobonichi Weeks planner, but I wanted to test it out with my vertical mini happy planner and, as I suspected, it works great!
Before we get into the Plan with Me, I wanted to share a tip for using paper scraps in your planner layouts. I don’t know about you, but when I’m done making my covers, dashboards, dividers and a planner pocket decorations, I find myself with quite a few itty bitty paper scraps that are just too pretty to throw away.
So for this planner spread, I decided to use my trusty paper crop that I made using a clear plastic table mat! I measured a few square that will fit into the Mini Happy Planner vertical boxes. This trick is great for when you have planners with oddly shaped dimensions for which there may not be a whole lot of sticker options available. I go into more detailed about this in my Plan With Me Video, so make sure to check that out. These little DIY templates can be used to modify stickers and photos for your planner layouts, too!
Okay, on to the finished planner spread! Here is a closeup of what next week looks like using the Daisy Weeks Sticker Kit. As you can see, the box stickers and labels fit PERFECTLY inside the columns, and the scaled-down size of the icons and decorative stickers work beautifully in this fun-sized planner.
I have been terrible at pulling out my stamps when I’m planning, so I made sure to use these gorgeous alphas Stamps from the Memory Keeping Kits. I love how stamps, especially alpha stamps, can draw your eye to an important event or note in your planner.
After I was finished planning, I decided to use the days of the weeks stickers with a sheet from the notepad to break down the meal plan for the week. When you are cooking for two, it is easy to eat the same thing for the whole week ( ain’t no shame in the leftover game!) but I find that if I have something different for lunch and dinner, it helps us not get bored (and then make questionable eating choices). With the notepad, I can mark down the servings of each meal for both lunch and dinner and have a sense of when new meals need to be prepared.
On the back of the notepad, I have room for my shopping list. Since this planner goes with me to the Grocery Store, this is a perfect place to put it!
I hope you enjoyed a look at next week in my Mini Happy Planner! Make sure to stop by my YouTube channel and watch me put this spread together! Until next time!
