One For The Books

Hi Daisies!  How are you all doing with our Book Club kits?  I love that this kit has a lot of goodies about reading.  I love books!  I love reading, however life has gotten in the way, so I haven’t been doing it as much.  This kit really helps waken the reading spark in me.

I used our goodies to create some reading journal pages.  I always use my Stalogy 365 in A6 for journaling.  I decided to use the rub-ons that came in the memory keeping kits.  Don’t you just love it when items from the memory keeping kits can be used in different ways?

First of all, you should remember to choose which element you like and cut it out.   I can’t stress that enough.  This technique will ensure that you won’t rub off the other elements on the sheet.  Also, I love rub-ons because they don’t add so much bulk to layouts.

On this page, I wrote about my Book Wishlist.  A book fair is coming up for us this month and it helps that I have a list of books to look for.  It will save me more money that way, hehehe.

On this next page, I wrote about the books I am currently reading.  I like reading across different genres at one time so that I don’t get bored.  I usually pick one for fiction, a self help book and a craft book.

I also wrote about the upcoming book fair this September.  I am so psyched and journaling about it ups the excitement even more.  I especially loved these sentiments on the rub-ons.  They were perfect, spot on about what I feel about this book event.

I often write down things that I learned from books.  I recently finished Brene Brown’s Daring Greatly and I loved it so much.  The truth in it was so real, I felt like tearing up a lot of times.  Writing down my takeaways helps me to remember the important points from the book.

Here are other ideas that you can use if you want to be journaling about your books or reading life too:

*Book Review

*Shelfies

*Bookstores

*Books Read Tracker

*Pages Read Tracker

*TBR Lists

*Reading Challenges

*Reading Goals

Just as reading is fun, journaling about our reading lives is fun too!  Hope you enjoyed today’s blogpost.
