Cut Files in your TN | Farmers Market.

Howdy Daisies!

It’s Kylie with you all again today and together with the lovely Evelyne we are sharing some new inspiration with you all. Our assignment for today was using cut files in your TN. I love working with cut files across any platform of style whether it be 12 x 12 layouts, pocket pages or TN’s. Creating with cut files may be a new experience for a lot of you, but truly don’t be afraid to have a go! Not everyone has an electronic cutting machine, but there are many suppliers who sell pre-cut options to post to you or you may have a friend who could cut them for you. Both Evelyne and I chose to work with our Farmers Market, August kit for our pages today.

This is the first time Evelyne has worked with cut files. She has done some AMAZING pages. What a super star! Let’s take a look at her stunning work. She writes:-

For this layout I decided to try another new thing: the cut files.
Even if I’m not an expert on this type of scrapbooking, being my first experience, I can tell you that there are so many types of cut files (backgrounds, titles, various decorations). I chose a background purchased from The Cut Shoppe as it was already the right size for my TN.
I tried to cut out several papers from the August kit, including those from the planner kit, so in the end, not knowing how to choose, I set them all, mixing the various cards!
I added a 3D effect as a title, a photo and lots of stamps and just a couple of diecuts!
I had so much fun with this layout and can’t wait to repeat the experience, it’s so nice to get out of your comfort zone.

I love all the colour Evelyne has used in her page design and the clever use of her stamping within the cut file borders.

Next up is my page design. This month I have turned my TN into a good old fashioned recipe book with some of my favourite recipes. Not all my pages feature a photo this month but it’s been fun to create in a different style. For my pages I have documented the ‘best ever’ vanilla cupcake recipe…..(totally not my recipe). I’ve used a page phrase cut file designed by Cut To You. I really wanted a pastel theme for my pages so have used some papers from the past Cherry Blossom kit. I have printed my ingredient list out and backed it to some paper and added to my method page with a paper clip. The idea is to remove it if I need to shop for ingredients so I have the card handy to slip into my bag.

This month I also converted my TN to rings which I have LOVED! It enables you to add extra pages for the month if you want to.This is what I have done and I used one of my other pages as a template to cut these to size.

I hope you have enjoyed seeing our projects today and it inspires you to create more with cut files in your TN too!

Kylie.
