Hi everyone! How are you all doing with your memory keeping lately? Today, Odessa and I will be sharing with you layouts inspired by a Grid Design.
First up is Odessa and here is what she said about her layout. “I made a fun Traveler’s Notebook layout using a mix of the Farmer’s Market kits. I used one of the folded papers from the planner kit and cut it down to size to fit in my notebook. I love the subtle floral print and felt like the pale blue would make my photos pop without being overwhelming. I laid an assortment of small square photos and embellishments out in a 4×4 grid to tell the story of a recent camping trip on one page. The roller stamp from the South Beach Kit is perfect for stamping inside circle stickers from the Traveler’s Notebook kit that have a space for the date. I kept to mostly yellow and green embellishments and stickers with occasional pops of red.”
Here is a close up of her work. I love how she incorporated the tiny stickers from the planner kit.
This spread is so exciting. Doing a camping trip with my family is actually on my bucket list.
Like Odessa, my project is also laid out like a 4 x 4. In my case, I used the grid paper instead. I have a soft spot for the grid paper. I love it because sometimes blank pages can be a little too “white” and intimidating to use. The grid lines actually help me to lay out my design easier. I mentally divided the whole spread into equal areas and laid down the embellishments on a specific place on a grid. The grid lines of the paper helped ensure that spaces in between the embellishments are most likely equal.
This layout I worked on was about a food trip to a Korean Barbecue place. This is actually one of my most favorite restaurants. I picked the embellishments according to the sentiments that the food in this restaurant evokes in me.
I used one of the labels to write the name of the restaurant.
I used one of the circle stickers to document the date of this meal.
To add some dimension, I also used one of the lovely chipboard stickers. I absolutely love our Farmer’s Market kit. It was perfect for documenting our foodie moments.
Have you ever tried doing a grid design? Hope you can share about it in the comments below.
Thank you for passing by the blog.
