Fun and Fresh Cards using the Lemon Grove Kits

Hello Daisies! Lisa here and I cooked up a few cards for you this month using papers and elements from this months fabulous CocoaDaisy kit called Lemon Grove. I Love using my kits for other projects besides my planner and memory keeping!

Its so funny because when I first saw this kit I was like “Lemons?? I don’t know what to do with it!” Now I can’t get enough of them! haha! That is one thing that I love about CocoaDaisy…. it helps me get out of my comfort zone and think outside the box.

First up is a super easy tri fold card. I originally was going to make a pocket for my planner from this paper and it wasn’t meant to be! I measured in 2.25″ on each side of this Lemon paper, scored and folded. I added one of the washi strips from one of the sticker kits across the middle. I had a white die cut laying around and added the “You Are” round sticker from the Memory Sticker kit to the middle of it. The “awesome” sticker is from the Memory Sticker kit too and it said”you’re awesome” and I cut off the “you’re” so I could stick it to the round sticker. I added a reposition adhesive to a small portion so it will stay closed but open up easy. Super Easy!

Next up a Thank you card using paper from the kits and one of those amazing doilies that were included in the main planner kit. I LOVE those doilies that were in the planner kits so much! I need like a hundred lol!

I cut the paper down to 5.5″ x 8.5″ and scored in the middle so you end up with a standard sized card that measures 4.25″ x 5.5″. I adhered one of the doilies just a tad off center and placed a scrap from another paper across the bottom half to give a little contrast. I used one of the label die cuts from the Memory Kit and added “Thank” with the puffy Alphabet stickers to it. I used the block alpha stickers to spell out “You” underneath and added a flower sticker from one of the stickers sheets and there you have a fast and cute Thank you Card! I took me less than 10 minutes to make this one and that is only because I had to position the letters!

This next card is another super easy one! I took a white card measuring 4.25″x 5.5″ (folded sizing) and added a scrap from one of the papers slightly lower than the center. I added a piece of that gorgeous Lemon washi across the bottom to add a little something to it. For the blue tag… it is actually one of the package backings from one of the clips that came in the kit. I cut off the top and cut the sides on top to make a tag and then layered the Lemon Tag die cut on top and tied together with the cute pompom trim that came in the kit. I added one of the little flags that are on the planner stickers that come in the kit. There was a birthday one and I thought is was perfect for this card! This is thinking outside the box for sure!! I wanted to use just the “Happy” that was a part of one of the cute stamps that came in the Memory Keeping Pocket kit. I used washi to mask it.

To do this you mask the portions you DO NOT want with washi, ink up the portion you DO want, PULL OFF the washi and then stamp the image. It’s the perfect technique to get the most out of your stamps! I am going to use Numbers to put under the Happy next to the birthday sticker so it will be a numbered Birthday Card. I haven’t decided who to give it to so no numbers yet!!

This picture shows the washi on the portion of the stamp I DO NOT want to ink.

This picture shows the actual stamp after I inked and took off the washi. Its so fun to do and get more out of your stamps!

Last but certainly not least is my most favorite card! I love how this card turned out so much I mimicked it for a dashboard!

I used a plain white card and adhered a white leaf die cut that was hanging out on my desk. I used two of the Lemons from the Fabulous Lemon note pad that was in the planner kit and adhered them towards the bottom of the die cut. I fussy cut a couple of the leaf designs that were on one of the pages from the printable and tucked them under one of the lemons so it looks like the Lemons are hanging on a branch. I stamped the “You’ve got this” stamp on top of one of the Lemons. I used the Remember die cut over the Lemons to add dimension and that is it! A fabulous encouragement card that is bright and cheery and easy to do!

I love that I have built up a collection of CocoaDaisy stamps to use anytime! The “You’ve got this” from one of the January Kits was perfect for this card!

Hope you all are inspired to look at your CocoaDaisy kits in a new light! I had so much fun coming up with these beauties! If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask!

Until next time!

Lisa
