Monochromatic on the Diagonal

Hello Daisies!
Have you created anything with the beautiful items of the latest kits from Cocoa Daisy?
Moon and Robin are here to share some pages with the idea of the monochromatic on the diagonal.

First is Robin’s TN page featuring the “Lemon Grove” kits.
I’m so in love with the background she made with the stencil coming from the TN kit.
It looks perfect with the blue patterned papers.

She said,
“I chose my favorite color blue for my monochromatic design on the diagonal.
The background was created with the stencil in the Lemon Grove TN kit.
I chose Stormy Sky distress oxide ink and I brushed it over the stencil.
I did not spray with water because I did not want to oxidize the ink.
Then I chose elements from the kit that complimented the blue sky in my photo.
I did a bit of stamping as well and chose to use a quote as my journaling.
It was the last day of our trip and the skies were a bit stormy but I felt completely relaxed and that is what I remember most when I look at this photo.”

Next is my 8.5″ * 11″ layout.
I chose the color of citrus, including yellow and orange items from the “Lemon Grove” kits.
I trimmed these two patterned papers diagonally into triangles and glued them together as the background.

I added lots of die-cuts and chipboard stickers around my photos as the focal point.
Also, spraying some glitter mists and and stitching based on the color combo actually added more details for the page.
Our photos were taken at the Thai Embassy in Singapore.
It was the Thai Festival and the color of our favorite Thai Ice Tea goes very well with the color theme of the page.

Here is the little video of how I made this page step by step.

Love both these layouts. Absolutely beautiful. I love everything about this release. The colors remind me of many vacations in the Provence in France.
