Hello everyone! Jil here with a couple of Travelers Notebook pages made following the awesome Lemon Grove sketch, which features an edge lined with labels or tags. I tried it both ways. But first, here’s the sketch.
And here is my page following the sketch and placing labels along the left edge:
Quite an assortment of labels here! Some are stickers from the sticker kit, some are die cuts from the memory keeping and planner kits, and some are punched with a label punch from the kit papers. I wrote my journaling at the top of the page on this side, and decided to repeat the label motif in a little cluster at the bottom of the right side.
Here’s a closer look at the labels. I incorporated some of the washi tape from the memory keeping kit and stitched along the edge.
This is a spread about being with my family, and I love this paper in the TN that matches the whitewashed brick wall of the backdoor of the old restaurant where we had dinner together. You’ll see I used the alpha stamps from the memory keeping kit in combination with the wonderful script title-builder stamps that came in the memory keeping classified kit. My second page also follows the sketch but replaces the labels with tags.
The Cocoa Daisy kits always include such a variety of great tags! Here I used them to journal about the simple pleasure of welcoming a new season with summer postage stamps. Again I journaled along the side, this time using my vintage typewriter. That pretty seam binding ribbon near the top is from an earlier kit, and the “sunshine” embellishment is from the Lemon Grove pocket kit. I pulled some adorable polka dot ring reinforcers from the planner kit sticker sheet. Playing with tags in this way was so much fun!
A detail shot shows all the colors, designs, and textures. This variety fits the happy, carefree vibe of this page that says, “welcome, Summer!”
Again, I used the title-builder stamp set from the memory keeping classified add-on kit, this time along with the puffy alpha stickers, to create my title over kit washi plus a little hot pink tape. I included a die cut at the bottom as in the sketch but this time I angled my photo mat to echo the diagonal in my photo and keep with the playfulness of my page.
