Hi everyone! Have you tried visiting the Cocoa Daisy Pinterest boards lately? Visiting the site can help you get started on your memory keeping journey. If you find yourself in a creative slump or not knowing how to start, there are a lot of layouts in there that you can use as a template to help you begin.
I was looking through the Pinterest Boards and I especially loved this layout done by Kellie Rich, a 2018 Cocoa Daisy Memory Keeping Team member. I love the flip up cards she made and it gave me an idea about how I can make a layout about a past restaurant trip where I took a lot of photos. Kellie’s layout was for a 12 x 12 and I’m going to do my best to apply her layout into a Simple Dori.
I started by trimming white card stock into 5 x 7 (4 pieces) and some patterned paper into 3.5 x 2.5. I folded the card stock in half and then I basically played around with where the photos and patterned papers will go. As the photos were in greens and blues, I made sure to pick patterned papers and ephemera that match that color scheme. This was the most fun part for me. Once I’ve got the combinations figured out, I adhered everything to my Simple Dori. So easy!
You can view a process video of how I made this layout in here. This project was made using the Picket Fences Memory keeping kit.
Don’t forget to pass by the Cocoa Daisy Pinterest Board to find inspiration. Again, I am thankful to be part of the whole creative community. Thank you to Kellie, whose work served as inspiration for this layout. May all of us always continue to share and inspire each other.
