Hello sweet friends!

It’s Kylie back with you today and together with Jil, we are sharing our designs created with April’s sketch. Each month included with the Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit is an exclusive sketch designed by Christine. It’s great to be able to use it to recreate it in your own Traveler’s Notebook, on a layout or to use it as a guide in creating your own unique design. Lets’s take a look at Christine’s sketch for April:-

Jil has used the sketch to create a beautiful 12 x 12 layout. In her own words she writes:-

I used the sketch for a 12X12 page. I also used the gorgeous new Cherish Blossom kit! Besides strips of paper, I added gold washi tape from the Classified: Memory Keeping Edition kit. The “choose happiness” sticker and pink pearls come from that kit, too. I mixed alphabet stickers from several CD kits, new and old.

This detail shows how easy and fun it is to layer coordinated strips of paper! I’m definitely using this sketch again.

 And one more, this one shows how I moved the arrow in the sketch closer to my subtitle.

For my sketch layout I am using Christine’s April sketch with my March ‘Fresh Cut’ kit in my Simple Dori. I have followed the sketch pretty much exact.

I added some zig zag stitching to some of my paper strips as I thought it gave a nice texture to them.

I was completely obsessed with the rub ons from the TN Memory Keeping kit this month and have used some for my sub title under the photo.
