Simple Dori Love

Simple Dori Love

Hello Cocoa Daisy fans,

Today on the blog I am going to show you some Simple Dori love.  First up we have Celma’s beautiful capture of a snowy day.  I love that she used a tag from the Simon and Betty kit and a stamp from the Paper and Ink kit. Using past kit components with a current kit is one of my favorite ways to keep my stash in check. Additionally, stamps are so versatile and when I love one, I do like to use it over and over again.

Celma’s layering with washi tape and stitching make her design unique and the little layers on her tag are super cute!

Jil created another fantastic design with lots of paper pieces and stitching. I truly admire her designs a great deal. Each time I see Jil’s latest I want to get my sewing machine out and create some messy stitching.

Jil’s colorful heart stamping is seriously adorable. Her Simon and Betty Simple Dori is darling and I want to meet up with Jil and see it in person one day.

Moon created a lovely design using bits and pieces from the Snow Globe and Paper & Ink kits that match the colors in the Simon and Betty kits. I am always in awe of Moon’s creations and the way she sees different items come together. Her designs are soft and detailed and such a pleasure to look at.

Moon’s addition of the doilies and the sparkly washi tape add to the elegance of her story and draw attention to the photos.

I created a little layout with the Simon and Betty kits and a touch of hand stitching. Those little conversation hearts are sweet, and I want to use them all up! I am also loving the little word phrase stickers in the TN kit and the puffy sticker letters. Puffy stickers are an easy way to add texture to your Simple Dori designs for that little bit of oomph.

I hope you enjoyed seeing our designs and that we have given you lots of ideas for using the Simon and Betty kits as well as some of your Cocoa Daisy kit stash in your Simple Dori. We encourage you to show us what you make in the Memory Keeping FB group!

Thank you,

 Robin, Celma, Jil and Moon
