You guys!! It’s finally fall! I’m SO HAPPY! This is my absolute favorite time of the year. It’s a little chilly, the trees start to change and my planner also gets a warm cozy makeover. I love the colors in the OCT kit so much. They go beautifully with my Ochre Malden. I made this fall dashboard using some of my planner kit but also some items from the scrapbook kit. I love getting that kit even though I don’t do traditional 12×12 scrapbooking anymore. The bits and pieces in that kit can be used for my planner, journal, anything I want! I’m going to show you how to make this “hello fall” dashboard below.
First, these are the supplies I gathered. I chose a pretty tame pattern from the papers that come in the planner kit so my background wouldn’t be too busy. Then I used these two washi tapes together, I think the colors and patterns look nice. The gold leaves, tag, and “hello fall” cut out are from the scrapbook kit.
I cut my piece of paper down to the size I needed which was personal rings. You can cut yours to whatever size planner you are currently in. I went ahead and punched my holes so that I knew where I wanted to place my washi tape and die cuts.
Next I took the two washi tapes and alternated the patterns to cover the bottom half of the dashboard.
This is what it will look like when you’re all finished.
Now, just simply flip your paper over and cut off the excess washi tape.
If you want to leave your dashboard like this I think it’s really cute! It’s an easy little project if you just want to make something for yourself.
I decided to add the tag as a background for my other goodies. I angled it slightly and glued it down with my tape runner.
Next I took some of the gold leaves and a beautiful bright die cut and added them on. The larger gold leaf went off the edge a little but I simply cut the excess off just like I did with the wash tape.
I put my “hello Fall” on the top and that’s it! I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out. I hope you’ll try to make one too!
