Daily Gratitude Journaling in the Daisy Dori

Hi everyone!

Last month, I decided to give daily gratitude journaling a try.  I used my Standard Daisy Dori as my journal for it.  First, I labelled the dates with the stickers that came in the March Planner kit.

I would sit down with my Dori at the end of each day just to write things that I am grateful for.  I didn’t bother to decorate the pages at all.  More than making a page pretty, it became more important for me to just get down and write quickly.  This way, it takes me less than 5 minutes to fill the page and each night, I get the job done.

I always tend to focus on the things that have been going wrong in my life or the things that I don’t have.   I’ve started this gratitude journaling practice hoping to develop an ‘attitude of gratitude’.   Writing down what I am grateful for has made me more appreciative of the little things like a delicious dinner, longer hours of sleep, etc.

Jotting down the good things has helped me to be more positive and to see the glass as half full.   Last month, we had to spend a lot of money because our car broke down.  Rather than despair about the expense, I managed to feel grateful we have the money to get the car fixed.

I’m hoping to make gratitude journaling a regular practice now that I’ve seen its benefits on my life. Hope you can try it too. 🙂

What a great idea! Thanks for sharing! I hope you’ll be able to continue – I should do that in July which is always a hard month for me because my me-time will be so limited with the kids home all day!

Thanks so much Simone! Hope I can continue as long as I can. It will take less than 5 minutes, without decors, hehehe. Hope you can start too 🙂
