April Layers

Kami here, coming at you in April with a little layering!

Using the sticky notes to place out all my important dates is one of my favorite things to do. I do this so I can see where everything needs to be placed.

This month I decided to use one of the 12×12 sheets of card stock from the memory keeping kit to print out my “days to remember.” (Still looking for the perfect typewriter font, if any of you know of a good one, please leave it in the comments below. I would really appreciate it!!) I cut the sheet to a 8.5″x11″ and ran it through the printer. I then cut the words into strips.

I like my first layer to be stamping! It seems if I wait and do the stamping after all the things I have to do a lot of masking. which is fine, but that can be time consuming. And, how awesome is the new stamping block that came in the kit!

I choose my tip-ins and put them on now so I would remember that they are there and not put any of the diecuts where they might be covered by the washi I use to add in the tip ins. Yes, I have made that mistake before!

Then I like to lay out all the diecuts and stickers that I might use so I can see them all clearly! This is key for me, without it, I will for sure forget a must needed item.

I play around with placement for a while, putting this here, and that there, and then changing it several times until I feel like there is harmony. Do you do this to? I never glue anything until I am completely satisfied! Sometimes, though, I will use a repositionable glue.

When it all makes sense I glue!

Hope you enjoyed this tiny part of my day and how I set up my planner! I know I enjoyed sharing it with you!

xoxo,

Kami
