Hello Daisies, how is everyone doing?
It has been another busy month for me.
However, I still try to making some layouts to document my trip to Penang last November.
Since I always love the style of clean and simple but with some more details, I would love to share some ideas with you.
First, it’s about colors.
The design team members were talking about some favorite colors and color combos in the Cocoa Daisy memory keeping FB group.
(Come join us and pls search “memory keeping with cocoa daisy”)
Here are what I picked to make the page looks soft and clean.
To keep it clean, I only focused on the color combo of yellow, carol, and black out of the colorful kit.
As you can see, I only used these die-cuts, journaling cards, or mists based on the color palette.
Moreover, simple sketches are always my favorites.
Basically, all I need are two 4*6 photos and two 3*4 journaling cards based on this sketch.
However, I spent some time decorating these cards with die-cuts.
Also, I made an extra one to be the title of the page.
Although recording the memories is way more important than decorating the pages for me, I still enjoy adding these details on it.
The last thing and the most important is the space.
What I did was using the white colorstock as background and some journaling cards with soft and light colors.
If you feel it’s boring to have a white background, you can always add another patterned papers as the frame.
These are some tips of how I usually make layouts, and hope they’re useful for you, too.
Also, the little video is showing some close-ups and how the page was done step by step.
Thanks for reading and can’t wait to see what you make with these beautiful scrapbooking supplies.
