A little Christmas Inspiration.

A little Christmas Inspiration.

Hello lovely Daisies! Kylie back with you all today and I’m going to share some ‘out of the box’ thinking for Christmas Inspiration with the Design Team. Now when I say ‘out of the box’ what I mean by it is…….Our December Memory Keeping and Pocket memory keeping kits aren’t ‘Christmas’ themed, yet our fab Design Team have created some wonderful inspiration pieces showcasing just how versatile these beautiful kits are. You really are only limited by your imagination.Let’s take a browse at what the team has created:

First up is Brooke who has created some beautiful holiday gift wrapping. In her own words-

A bit of Christmas wrapping!
Every single thing I used is from this month’s kits – EXCEPT the mini clothespin which I covered in washi tape. A simple way to make a gift (a book, a game, and a necklace) more special.

Aren’t they fun??

Next up is my project. When I saw the cork board themed paper and sweet envelopes in this months kit, I decided they would be perfect for creating a fun layout for December with a Christmas ‘undertone’ theme.I wanted it to look like a memory or inspiration board you would have hanging in your office or crafty space. Thanks to the inclusion of the enamel dots this month I could get away with them looking like push pins.

Next is a lovely layout from Suzanna.I really like the pop of pink she has used.In her own words-

This topic was a challenge for me, as there is nothing Christmas about the kit. So, game on, bring it! I went more with a Christmas theme; more travel during the Christmas season than the holiday itself. The pinky, red orange background is a free download from Arleigh Barley. I printed it on vellum and used it to add a bit more traditional take on the Christmas colors than what the kit offered me. From there I could pull in the orange and yellow to compliment. Check out my personal YouTube channel for a process video! Just search “Suzanna Lee” and you will find me!

Next is Estelle who has customised the envelopes from the kits to represent ‘Letters to Santa’. Such a cute idea.

And next, Celine, who has created a fun layout using the stamps as well as a pop of mixed media.I love her photo, it suits the layout and colours so well.

Next is a layout by Moon.In her own words-

We had an early Christmas celebration with friends in the beginning of December. It was so much fun. I used some 3″x4″ cards from December memory keeping pocket kit. Also, adding the golden die-cut tree and reindeer to make the layout more like a Christmas party .

As an extra treat, Moon has also created a second layout using left over supplies from November’s kits which were more of a Christmas theme.

Next is a layout by Marie who has also used supplies from the November kits-

And finally we have a layout by Katherine using the December kits.In her own words-

We just had this picture taken today! It’s a chore getting all three kids together, but the snow day helped! On this layout I used the pocket memory kit and paper from the main. I tucked the envelope behind the photo and had my kids write what they wanted for Christmas…yes I made them do it while I was creating the page. I also added a few stamps on the journal card and envelope.

So there you have it friends! Your Christmas inspired pieces can still be created with non-traditional supplies.I hope you have enjoyed the Design Teams projects today and it inspires you to create your own! Don’t forget to share them with us in the Memory Keeping with Cocoa Daisy Facebook group. We’d love to admire your work!!

Until next time,

Kylie.
