Tell a Story with Photos – Video Link Included

Hi. It’s Lisa here!! Today I am sharing with you how I tell a story with photos.

I love to journal and tell stories, but sometimes it’s fun to find new ways to do this other than using the usual journal cards or adding typed wording to the page and just writing on the LO.

I created this LO here with the September Kit. All 4 of my photos were printed 3×3” with a thick white border with the intention of using the border for me to journal around. If you don’t print your own photos, you can stick your photos to white card stock and trim leaving a thick border for the journaling.

I used number stickers from the Simple Stories alpha sticker set that came in the DITL Kit, to number each photo so that the journaling could be read in order.

You can see a video of this LO being made here.

It’s fun finding creative ways to tell a story. I hope you enjoy the video. Thank you.

Thank you for your process video! I’m working on a layout with lots of photos and feel it needs something and you just provided the inspiration for it with your paints, stencils and washi tape. Did you prep the page with gesso before laying down the paint? Thank you again!

      Hi Julie,

Thank you so much. No I didn’t use any gesso. I painted straight on to the page. Lisa x
