Hello! I made this banner for the Firefly gallery. The chipboard alphabet from Fancy Pants Designs won my heart and I knew I had to make some wall art with all the letters. For the Tips & Tricks feature on the blog, I decided to to share how I created it.
I was going to make my own canvas banner, but then I looked at my stash and realized I already had exactly what I needed, with a minor alteration. If you’ve ever gotten a planner kit or a Day in the Life kit, then you, too have exactly what you’ll need to get started. Are you like me and save all the little canvas bags Christine packs the kits in? Well, pull one out, watch my video how-to, and get ready to repurpose and create your own wall banner. Make a bunch and connect them. Oh, the possibilities!
I made the cording using an electric egg beater trick my mom taught me and my sisters years ago. Seriously. You can find a video tutorial here if you want to make your own. I made the tassels using an old credit card and matching yarn. There are tons of tutorials on Pinterest, here’s just one. 🙂
I would love to see what you create with you newly found banner supply. Please share on Instagram with the hashtag #CDbanner! Thanks for visiting the blog today.
