June Daisy Delight

Today I would like to introduce you to Cathi O’Neill who is a newer member to Cocoa Daisy. She has a lovely blog, dreamzintoplanz where she showcases her vintage style layouts and clever planner pages. In her own words:

Hi! My name is Cathi O’Neill. I am an American who married an Irishman and I have been living in Ireland since 1997. I live in a beautiful village on the Shannon River with my DH of 20 years (wow, that makes me feel old!) and my two beautiful daughters, Aine (onya) 13 and Aisling (ashling) 11, who are the subject of many of my projects!!

I have always loved crafting since I was a little girl. My grandmother taught me to knit and crochet and I remember sewing Barbie doll clothes with her on her front porch! I am a knitter and quilter as well, but have recently in the last few years found cardmaking and scrapbooking, and an obsession was born!! I truly love creating and make vintage cards to sell here in our local village cafe as well as stacks of mixed media and shabby/vintage style layouts of my girls to keep and share with family! I also love to do tags, ATC and altered projects, barely a day goes by when I haven’t done something crafty!! My newest obsession this year is creative planning in my handmade patchwork travelers notebooks, Project Life and my new love of learning to doodle and hand letter in my Hobonichi journal!

I am currently for Blue Fern Studios and have guest designed and designed for many wonderful companies and challenge blogs, I have been very blessed.

I also gave Cathi some questions to answer and was delighted by her plucky honesty and positive attitude.

What talent would you most like to have? Right now I would l love to be better at doodling, watercoloring and hand lettering, after discovering creative planning and getting a Hobonichi journal which I have seen many fill with beautiful watercoloring and journaling, I am in love!

favorite quote that describes yourself or your life right now? Don’t follow your dreams, chase them!
what is a quality you most like in a person? Honesty, I love people who are just themselves with no hidden agendas and who are just relaxed and a lot of fun! What you see is what you get!

What is on your mind lately? or what is changing in your mind lately? It is this watercoloring and lettering thing that is on my mind lately!! I am really inspired by people capturing memories of their days in sketches, doodles and journaling.
Where do you find/get your strength? I find my strength within myself, and from the support of a great husband and sweet (most of the time!) kids!! I have Multiple Sclerosis, and I prefer to just get on with life and think positively and do what I can when I can and not think of what could happen down the road…it is out of my control, so why worry about it. I am trying to live in the moment as much as I can.
