A hi and welcome to Arleigh

We are so pleased to introduce you to Arleigh! She’s joining our family as a graphic artist. You’ll find her work this month in our exclusive stamps. We think you’ll really love having her fun sense of humor at work as you create in June.

Here’s a bit more about her:

Arleigh (which rhymes with Charlie) is a freelance graphic artist whose portfolio includes logo design, caricatures, illustrations, tattoos (design, not execution), and page layout. Her influences range from Mad Magazine and Bugs Bunny cartoons, to artists like Henri de Toulouse Lautrec and Alfonse Mucha, to talented contemporary digital artists who publish their work on sites like society6.com, theydrawandcook.com, and deviantart.com.

Arleigh’s work as a phototypesetter at her college newspaper sparked her love for type and design. Add to that her ability to draw, quirky sense of humor, and expertise with computers, and graphic design naturally followed. After college, she worked for some big publishing companies and was soon managing their graphics departments.

She was an “old-timey” scrapbooker (magnetic pages, anyone?) when she saw a scrapbooking kit on a TV shopping network and she was sold! She’s now into paper scrapping, digital scrapping, cardmaking, and art journaling. She claims to shun any tool more complicated than an x-acto knife but she did break down recently and buy a die-cutting machine.

Arleigh lives in the Colorado Front Range area with her hot rod husband, her tweenager son who loves Minecraft, and her crazy German shepherd. Working out of her home allows her to divide her time between her many passions: family, work, fine art, paper crafting, social media, and grassroots community radio. Arleigh is excited to be creating fun and pretty goodies for Cocoa Daisy Kits!
