APRIL DITL | Pocket Page Scrapbooking With a Hint of Sunshine

Hi everyone! Happy April to all! Suz here today to share some April DITL pages created by the lovely and talented Alissa, Mandie, Lisa, and Piradee as well as my own design. The APRIL DITL kit includes the scrap lovelies pictured below:

April 2014 COCOA DAISY DITL KIT

>>>>>>and it is available in the shop here (while supplies last).

First up is Alissa, who created these fabulous layouts:

I love how she used the thin gold washi tape in several areas along with the gold alphas in the kit and complemented them with some of the October Afternoon Daily Flash alphas and Pink Fresh Studios painted chevron wood veneers from the Dewdrop add-on. And below she used the thin washi as journaling lines! So. love. that!

I am still swooning over the gold embossing that she added to the Jilllibean Soup Placemats (the camera die cut below) from the Dewdrop (Add-on 2) in this layout:

So playful Alissa! Don’t her designs just scream happy?!

Up next is Mandie.  Mandie knocked it out of the ballpark with this DITL spread:

I love how Mandie intermingled some of the exclusive patterned paper with the cards from the kit to add repetition of pattern and color. And that eensy, weeny photo of that spectacular sunset on the DITL card? LOVE.  I also love that she used a bunch of smaller photos on her layout and combined them with just a few 4×6 photos to add a bit of variety. So fun!

And this clean and simple design by Lisa shows just how fun and creative you can be while still getting things documented with photos and words in a relatively short period of time. More time creating memories and less time documenting them, yes? 😉 Love it Lisa! Especially love her handwriting and her little stamping details. 🙂

Below I adore how Lisa used a stencil to mist a sunburst on her week number 4×6 card, the cute fox stamp and chain of hearts stamp (from the “GET FOXY” stamp set HERE), and tucked a grocery receipt from a trip to the store that week. It’s the little bits and pieces of our lives that really showcase how we live day by day.

Piradee’s layout is simply delightful with lots of photos of her precious daughter! I adore how she used a clothing tag from one of her daughter’s outfits paired with some October Afternoon stickers from the Dewdrop add-on. The little bits of sequins  and embellishments here and there are a lovely complement to the photos.

Her genius idea of using the vellum speech bubble to overlay the day of the week with journaling? = awesome. 🙂

I really adore that little aqua fox  nested in the vellum speech bubble as well. Thanks for sharing these Piradee!

Lastly, here is my DITL spread using this month’s kit as well as bits and pieces from the Main Kit, “Hint of Sunshine” and the Dewdrop Add-on #2. I can’t help blending my kits! They are so versatile and so well coordinated it just made this layout come together pretty quickly. (Ok, minus my detailed fussy cutting on the “hello” card it came together pretty quickly! LOL)

Some things I added to this week: selfies that were taken by my inlaws and texted to us, a screenshot of a text message from my oldest son, a Muffins With Moms flyer that I prettied up a bit with items from the kits (on the backside is a questionnaire both he and I filled out. My favorite part of it all!)

A few more details on how I created this DITL spread can be found in my gallery here: Suz’s Week 12 DITL LAYOUT

Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your April is as bright and cheerful as this month’s kits are!
