It’s all about the stamps…

Hello, it’s Anna here with some stamping inspiration for you all!

Suz used one of the small stamps from the April planner set in a fabulous way! She says: “I stamped 50 cupcake candle stamps from the April Daisy Day Planner exclusive stamp set to customize a birthday card for a dear friend who recently turned the big “happy high five oh!”.”

Did you hear that? 50 cupcake candle stamps?! I love it!

Suz also used one of the roses for this DITL card. She says: “I used the Blackbird chalk ink (from the April Daisy Day Planner kit) to stamp the rose outline and then watercolored in the rose with watercolor pencils. The background was made with blue watercolors and the thin washi tape included in the DITL kit.”

There are two rose stamps in the set – the outlined one above and a solid one too. Ashli used the solid stamp to crate the gorgeous card below. She says: “I just love the rose stamps this month! I used the solid rose to heat emboss in white, then played with some watercolor and doodling. The small leaf outline, stamped in black, acts as a little embellishment.”

The stamps didn’t make it on time all the way to Sweden this month, and I took out an older Cocoa Daisy stamp instead and played around with some Distress inks to create a watercolour like look. I want to try the same with the solid rose stamp, when it shows up!

I simply added four different colours of distress ink to my stamp (peacock feathers, picked raspberries, spiced marmalade and mustard seed) and then sprayed some water onto the stamp, before stamping onto watercolour paper.

Suz also used the cute butterfly to embellish one of the DITL cards.

…and Suz also says “I used a few of the April Daisy Day Planner stamps (remember, cupcake, sunshine) in this DITL spread. Love that they are so versatile!”

I hope you are inspired to use those stamps! Have a great day!

Anna-I love what you did with those watercolors! Reminds me of an Orla Kiely print! Stunning!
