Happy Thursday!
You’ve probably noticed lately that when you order a main scrapbooking or Day in the Life kit, you get an email mid-month giving you access to the free cut files for the month. Ashley Calder is the designer that takes the stamp images that arleigh or Stephanie make each month and uses them as a jumping board for her cut file designs.
This month, using the Viewfinder collection of die cuts, the DT used the world globe in very different ways. I sized mine at about 3 inches and used it as an embellishment. I also used the “Road Trip” words to balance my design.
Piradee used the negative space of the globe, cut much larger, as a frame for her design. She kept the words to support her title work. It’s such a nice clean look!
And Patricia used the grid of the globe as a mask for the modeling paste in the background of this layout. It gives her design some great texture, don’t you think?
One of the other cuts used this month was a small little car.
Ashley used it (as well as the road sign cut file) as a subtle watercolored background here. Doesn’t it add a lovely touch to her design?
And Suz used it to embellishment on a Day in the Life card (in the lower left corner) for her Project Life spread. Notice the speech bubble she used as a frame in the pocket right next to the car? That’s a cut file as well! You can count on Suz to use the cut files in creative ways.
These cut files are free when you purchase a main scrapbooking or Day in the Life kit each month. Be sure to not miss out on these great additions to your creating every month, sign up for a subscription today!
And don’t forget the free alphabet cut files that Nicole designed, as seen in the title work of this gorgeous layout.
