Creative Ways to Use Project Life Cards (video link)

Hey there Daisies! I hope that you have been enjoying July’s kit! I certainly have loved working with it, and today I have a layout to share that I created for the Designer’s Challenge this month. I do not have a project life album, but I can find many different ways to use the cards. The patterns tend to be smaller which allows little pieces to make a big impact. For the border, I trimmed several of the cards in different lengths and widths to make this fun and interesting page.

I just used a little bit of adhesive at first to adhere the strips down, until I was able to determine where my stitching would be on the papers.

As I was going through the Fancy Pants embellishments, I noticed the clock, the pencil, and the phrase “Remember the Days” and they inspired me to make a school themed layout. My son will be a senior in a few short weeks, and this mama’s heart is a wee bit sad. Time really does go by fast and I thought that these two pictures side by side were a great way to show how much he has changed in five years. I did not add journaling to the page, because I could not put into words what my heart was feeling. However, on this layout, the photos may just be all that is needed. I’m reserving the right to add journaling at a later time, and if I do, it will be typed on white strips and added underneath the title.

Here’s my process video if you’d like to see how this layout came together. Thanks so much and I hope that this inspires you to use the Day in the Life cards in a new way! Have a great weekend!
