Memory Planning with Frost & Frolic

Jennie McGarvey: Discbound Daisy Planner

I’m in love with the Frost & Frolic Collection and I was so excited to use it in my memory planner. I sat down to create and I really wanted to be creative with it. At first, I was a little nervous I was putting too much pressure on myself, lol! However, once I got started, I had so much fun!

After I added my photos, I started by adding a huge stamped cluster that I envisioned. It was anchored by stamping out the word December using the versatile General Store Alpha Stamp Set. I used a stamp set from my stash to add the 12 and then stamps from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit to add the accents. I absolutely love how it turned out!

I had absolutely NO events to add thanks to illness [BOO!] but I had lots to journal so I included fun rub-on accents and plenty of journaling. I love using Mildliners to include lines for my journaling. This light blue Mildliner from the Frost & Frolic Planner Add-On Kit was so perfect for this – not only does it match perfectly – but it’s light enough to show my journaling well.

I’m so excited by how this week turned out in my Daisy Planner – it’s exactly how I hoped it would be! Cute and fun thanks to the Frost & Frolic Collection.

Renee Senchyna: Horizontal Bound Planner

This month’s Frost & Frolic Collection was so fun to work with; it has so many cute winter-themed elements. The color palette is the perfect mixture of pinks, reds, and blues. I think my favourite elements from all of the kits are the photo frames!

To create this layout I started out by selecting and printing all of my photos. Once they were all printed and arranged on the proper days I selected the cardstock stickers that I wanted to add as accents to my layout. They came from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit, the Frost & Frolic Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit, and Frost & Frolic Planner Add-On Kit, and the Frost & Frolic Classified: Memory Keeping Kit.

I had more photos than space on Saturday so I created a simple flip to fit them all in with my journaling. I cut a piece of white cardstock to match the height and width of the 2 photos I wanted on top, I adhered both photos to the paper then scored a line between them and folded them to create a crease. I glued the left side of the cardstock to my planner, then flipped the cardstock over and added my journaling and the third photo underneath.

On Sunday I took one of the 4×6 filler cards from the Frost & Frolic Modern Memory Keeping Kit and cut it down to 3×3 inches and used my corner punch to round each of the edges. I added a piece of red striped washi from the Frost & Frolic Traveler’s Notebook Memory Keeping Kit along the left side of the card to add a bit of dimension. Once that was done I used clear tape along the top of the card to create a hinge, then added a tab from the Frost & Frolic Planner Add-On Kit at the bottom to help flip the card. I added more photos and journaling underneath.

Once the layout was complete I spelled out November using the letter stickers from the Frost & Frolic Memory Keeping Sticker Kit as well as the date circles.
