No Photo Designs

Hello,

Today Moon and I are sharing Simon and Betty kit “no photo” designs. If you have a story to tell, but you don’t have a photo, no problem! We are going to give you a few ideas. Let’s start with a Simple Dori layout I created to document a story of self-realization using a poem, stamps, and ephemera from the classified memory keeping kit.

That heart stamp was a perfect addition to this clean and simple page. I love that little typewriter note too.

Next lets take a look at Moon’s awesome idea to use a pocket kit card for her Simple Dori page title. Moon fussy cut the title and added a border, then she cut hearts from a planner kit paper to create her unique design. Moon’s creative use of planner ephemera and word phrase stickers from the Traveler’s Notebook kit add to the elegance and beauty of her layout.

Moon likes to collect well-designed restaurant business cards for her memory keeping too. I love the way she incorporated the business card in her layout with a bit more of the planner kit paper and those tiny heart stamps. Simply gorgeous!

One final design to share is a pocket letter I created for a friend. My pocket page includes hidden features, a hand written letter, texture and hand stitching. I used items from the Traveler’s Notebook, Pocket, and Classified memory keeping kits as well as the Planner, Classified Planner, and add Planner Add On kits in my design.

I created a pocket to hold some of those adorable conversation hearts with a bit of tulle and some texture paste. I also created a card with texture paste, hand stitching, and planner kit ephemera to cover a hidden note.

Additional messages were created with pocket cards, paper fringe, washi tape, stamps, ephemera, puffy stickers and sequins.

Here is a look at the complete design on the top side of my pocket letter. The Simon and Betty kits are adorable and made creating this letter for my friend easy and super fun!

I hope you enjoyed the designs Moon and I created without photos and that we have given you many ideas for using your kits to document your no photo stories!

Thank you!

Robin & Moon

Such great ideas! I’m always thinking I need a photo for my pages, and it never occurred to me that I could make a pretty layout without one and still document an event. Thanks for sharing!
