Want to Share the Love this Month??

Hello, It’s Lisa here today with a lovely big ol’ team post. Hopefully something for everyone here today.

With it being February and the month of ‘Love’ we thought we’d get together and share some fun stuff with you. Love, romance, hearts…tips, tricks, ideas and all of that.

I’m going to start off with a little shaker heart embellishment that I made last month using the January kit. That little pot of sequins was just so cute!

  1. I used one of the little packages from the die cuts to create a mini shaker embellishment. I hand drew a heart, pierced holes and sewed along leaving the top free. 2.Then I added all the mini sequins. 3. The heart can then be sewn up and cut out. You now have a little shaker embellishment.

And here are some ideas from other members of the team.

Jen:  Sometimes simple is where it’s at when crafting! For these sweet valentines I used scraps from my January CD kit but jazzed up my card by using some of my old school paper punches. I used a corner punch, heart punch and a scalloped border punch and just assembled my pies for a sweet and simple card, perfect for Valentine’s Day!

Katherine:  My BIG 3! Everything used to make this layout were scraps from previous projects, I didn’t even have to cut them. I just layered on top of an old tag I had in my stash.

Estelle: For Valentine’s Day, I wanted to offer to my better half a throwback of our 12 years together. I first thought of an album and I printed out a bunch of pictures of our life changing from the two of us to 3, 4 and then 5 of us. I also thought it was funny to witness the changing of each of us thorough the years. So I guessed it would do it justice better if it was organized as a framed collage.
I put the pictures together chronologically. I added pink, red and orange 3D embellishments, Project Life cards from the January kit, stickers and dies cuts.
So here’s a little snapshot of our life summed up with 9 pictures!!!

Niru: We made 42 of these hot air balloon cards for Nandini and Avinash’s class parties. Lakshman got all the benefits and was eating all the candy he could grab!
Check out my little clip here to see how it came together. I used punched circles to make this cute hot air balloons from the January Always kit.
