Creative Ways to Stretch Your Kit with Video Link

Hello Daisies! I hope you are as excited as I was when I saw the reveal of the kit. Let me tell you it is even more amazing in person!! Today I am sharing with you a layout that I created that was based off of one of the exclusive stickers in the kit. The blue in the flower is not predominant in the kit, and I was determined to come up with a way of bringing more blue to my layout to complement my photo and this gorgeous sticker.

I decided to create my own background using a few mists and the packaging technique. I will link my process video below so that you can watch just how I made the background. The rub-ons that are included with the DITL kit are the best rub-ons that I have ever used. Seriously, they went onto my page like butter. The tag was created by trimming down a DITL card, punching a circle and using that as a reinforcer. Creating custom embellishments that look pre-made is so much fun.

Making your own background paper stretches your kit in a couple of ways. First, you save on patterned paper and are thus able to make more layouts with your kit. Second, it allows you to bring in accent colors that may not be predominant in the kit, which results in a variety of layouts using the same kit and products. Both are a definite win for me!

Thanks so much for joining me today. I hope this inspires you to stretch your kit even further!
