Fun Ways with the February Stamps

Hi, It’s Lisa and the February Stamps with you today.

I always look forward to seeing what the month’s stamp set is when my kit arrives. I don’t tend to look too much in to the kit before it comes as I do like a little surprise. As always I was thrilled with this month’s set.

I used 2 of the stamps on this page here. The ‘everyday’ stamp inspired me to create a LO about something that makes me happy every day. That’s my morning coffee. It may be something small, but I love the whole process. Grinding the coffee beans and filling the house with fresh coffee aromas first thing, choosing our mugs, frothing up the milk and then obviously, the enjoyment of that first coffee of the morning.

I used mostly the DITL kit on this page.

I decided to stamp on to a water coloured background. I let it dry first before stamping my images, then I cut each image out and went over the stamped outline with a black pen to strengthen the look. I also cut out some circles from the leftover water coloured paper and stuck them on my page and went around with the black pen again. I like this doodled look.

Wendy also used her stamps on her scrapbooking layout.

Here’s what Wendy says:

”I love Cocoa Daisy stamps, they are so crisp and clear, and fun designs! On this page, I used the Main kit stamp set to add a title to my journaling card. To add to the growing up feeling I created a sky scene that I then stamped some of the small hot air balloons on”.

I really like how Wendy stamped ‘documented’ across the top of her journal card.

I just love how Suzanna used the arc of leaves stamp. Such a great idea. This had never occurred to me.

Suzanna says:

”I had the main kit stamp set and used the arc of leaves to make ovals by stamping them “right way” then again, upside down. The top heart ended up upside down but you can’t really tell unless you get in there really close. You probably don’t even notice until I pointed it out to you. I also used the “documented” stamp from the same set and fussy cut it to create a banner to top one of the oval frames”.

And finally Suz has two cards for us using the stamps.

This is the sweetest card. I love the oval shape that Suz has created with the same leaf stamp. So perfect for  greetings card. It looks so clean and crisp.

And this play on words is just adorable. I really like Suz’s fresh cards.

I hope this has given you some inspiration using your February stamps. There are always so many different ways that the monthly stamps can be used. However you use them, have fun.
