Hello everyone! It’s Jil here to ask: Are you loving the stamps in the Paper & Ink kits? I am. I got mine inky in my little stamp inventory notebook, and I’m loving the cool, art journal vibe of the damask, birds in flight, postage, and vintage labels!
I created a 12×12 scrapbook page to document an Instagram challenge I’ve been doing called Birds in December, and these stamps were perfect for the casual, artistic look I wanted to create to go with my photos.
The calendar stamp, which is in the Memory Keeping Classified kit, is so versatile. It was great for this project because I wanted to emphasize Dec, which I did with light blue ink, and to circle the dates I completed these particular bird paintings in the challenge. I can see reaching for this stamp again and again for all sorts of projects.
I decided to ground my simple title (made from the lovely gold Thickers in the 12×12 kit) with the postage stamp image, which is so detailed and cool! The flying birds were the perfect touch, of course, and I repeated this stamp throughout the page. I also repeated the scribble stamp, which reminds me of a bird’s nesting material.
Another stamp that fit this layout perfectly is “Live. Love. Create.”
I hope this gives you some ideas about how to have fun with these stamps in your own creations. Be sure to hashtag Cocoa Daisy when you post your projects to social media, so I can see what you make with this month’s beautiful kits!
