Exciting News!

We’ve made some exciting changes to our Day in the Life kits.

We have decided to expand our graphic design team to include three amazingly talented ladies! Please join us in welcoming Jaimee, Leah, and Valorie to the Cocoa Daisy Family. Starting with May they will be designing journaling cards for our Day in the Life kits, as well as a few other fun things we have planned.

Here is a little bit about each of them:

jaimeeHey! My name is Jaimee or some people know me as Just Jaimee. I’m a 30 something wife and mom of 3 girls.
I am Canadian but I currently live in the beautiful Black Forest of Germany.

Although I am a computer programmer by trade, I have been passionate about art and design for as long as I can
remember. I never thought it was possible to make a living with graphic design so I put that aside to work with logic
and problem solving, which I also enjoy.

Since 2012 I quit my job as a developer to pursue my dream full time which, up until then, was only a part time deal.

I truly am living the dream.

Besides that, I am a book nerd, I love to learn about new things (especially related to Science and the Cosmos), I
play guitar, I am a vegan, I have 10 tattoos and love the color pink.
https://www.lilybridal.co.nzMy name is Leah — also known as Mommyish in the scrapping world. I was born in the great state of Mississippi and spent my childhood and part of my adult life living in Tupelo (birthplace of Elvis Presley). It was during my years at Tupelo High School that my love for web design and computer-related design took hold. This was back in the days of dial-up internet and AOL! At the time, I never realized that design could be an actual career… so when I graduated, I pursued my other love: music & piano.

After my first child was born, I started looking for a way to document her life. Scrapbooking seemed great, but I wasn’t very good with scissors, glue, & paper (think: a 3 year old’s skill level). I was introduced by an online friend to digital scrapbooking, but I wasn’t aware of all of the digital supplies available online, so I made my own. I guess you could say I accidentally became a Graphic Designer. This was back in 2006, and I have never looked back. My design business — under the name Mommyish — was formed out of my desire to create fun designs that matched my own somewhat quirky personality.

I currently live in the gorgeous Lower Hudson Valley of New York (not quite an hour north of NYC). My husband and I have two daughters, aged 11 and 1.5. We live in a multi-generational household with my in-laws, which I seriously adore. It is by the support of my family that I have been able to take “playing on the computer” and turn it into not only a job — but a passion! When I’m not designing I enjoy baking, playing the piano, hanging out with my mother in law (seriously!), and reading historical romance (don’t judge).

vw-headshot2015My name is Valorie but friends just call me Val 🙂
I’ve been married for 20 years and have 3 kiddos.
I grew up in Maui but now live in Colorado.
I equally love the beach and snow.
I love coffee with milk and sugar please.
I always wanted to be an astronaut and studied Aerospace Engineering in college,
but ended up getting a Fine Arts Degree instead lol
I knit almost everyday- its a must to unwind…
I love photography….especially night photography, capturing snowflakes, and of course my family
The night sky mesmerizes me.
I read recipe books like they are a novel.
Chocolate and peanut butter are heaven, so are donuts…
My dream is to capture the Milky Way in as many places around the world as I can.
I love being my family’s historian.

Welcome to the team ladies!!
