Hi guys! Niru here to share with you a page I recently created using the March Flutterby kit. I tend to gravitate towards more graphic page layouts which lend themselves to one photo usually. Here I really wanted to use at least two on one page for comparison.
I love looking back at older photos of my kids. It always amazes me how little they look even in photos only one year old.
That’s why I think it is super fun that facebook and google photos have a “Look back on this day” feature now.
I decided that it would be fun to print out two different pictures from the same day but different years and scrap them together. Choosing holidays can be a really fun point of comparison.
I used St. Patrick’s Day because I apparently managed to get them all dressed up two years in a row (not this year though unfortunately … blame it on jet lag).
I used an older flower punch from Martha Stewart to make the ‘clovers’ that cover my page. The punch can be used to make butterflies or flowers as well. Gotta love versatility.
I stole the title from the phrase on Lakshman’s shirt and added the white thickers directly to the photos. They are lucky & loved indeed. Love how this spring March kit Flutterby really lent itself well to a St. Patrick’s theme. I love how the yellow patterned paper works really well with all the bits of green floating down the page, with little pops of pink here and there.
I finished the page with a date stamp and a phrase sticker from the Cocoa Daisy set. I added a bit of hand journaling and three golden hearts for luck!
Hope you liked this layout of mine. It is fun to include two full 4×6 photos on a page. If you wanted to look back even further, you could use four 3×4 photos in the same way.
Thanks for checking it out. How do you like to scrapbook comparison photos?
