Product Focus with Alissa – Alphabets

Hey All! I really hope you are loving the August kits Modern+Vintage! I LOVE them and I think Christine hit it out of the park, yet again! πŸ™‚ And, one of the great things about the kits this month are all the alphabet sets. Awesome, right? Who doesn’t love a lot of alphas? Not me! Our challenge this month was to use up those alphas. Share a bunch of different ways of using them. I focused on the “unloved” letters. HAHA!

I don’t know about you, but I always feel a bit sad for the “unloved” letters and punctuation. Like the Qs and the Js and the Zs and the brackets and the commas. You see where I’m going with this? Unless you have a Zach (which is pretty common) or a Quinton or Xavier, you usually have those letters left on most of your alpha sets. I wanted to use those guys up first this month. Give them a little top billing, if you will.

The easiest way to create this is cover your shipping tag with the letters and punctuation and numbers, if you like, in a haphazard way. You are making a design, not spelling a word. πŸ™‚ Then, when you’ve got it all covered, spray paint it within an inch of it’s life! haha! No, really, give it a few coats and don’t forget the edges, too. When it’s all dry, you’ve got yourself a little piece of art that can be framed, added to a layout or made into the cover of a mini book. πŸ˜‰

Here I “colored” the foam numbers with a black sharpie so they would match a Β bit better to the fabric cover.

There you have it! My idea on how to use up those alphas, especially the “unloved” ones. Can’t wait to see what you all create when your kits start arriving! πŸ™‚

Have an awesome day!
