Hi everyone, Sharmaine here with a look at this month’s stamps.
This month was the first for our wonderful new designer Arleigh. I just loved the different designs and the endless ideas these stamps provide.
I received the gorgeous Day In The Life kit stamps
I used the leaves and scribble stamps to create a border on this page
Patricia also received the Day In The Life stamp set and this is what she had to say
For this layout, I did a partial stamp with one of the designs from the Day in the Life stamp set and stamped under the flair. I used one of the other stamp sets with the triangles/chevrons to stamp borders.
I snuck in some stamping on my pocket page using the banner from the Day in the Life stamp set on the “Hello” card.
Then on the “wonder” card, I used the Day In The Life stamp set and stamped the banner on the exclusive CD paper, then fussy cut and pop dotted.”
Patricia also received the very awesome Turtle stamp and this is what she had to say about creating with this.
“I really had fun with that turtle stamp. I wanted him to take center stage on one card. I used textured cardstock and distress ink, but the image will usually look bubbly and not even. After inking him up, I sprayed one spray of water onto the inked stamp and then stamped and got a great juicy impression, and even a little watercolor look if you do more water.
Then on the butterfly card, I covered the card with watered down gelatos, then embossed him in white. He needed to stand out a little more, so I took another color of watered down gelato and went around him.”
Nicole received the Cat and “No Comment” stamp
“I used the cat one here for my missing you card – I can so hear my friends cat saying that inside her head… lol
I used the “no comment” stamp on this birthday card for my attempt at afunny little twist on the sentiment”
And I loved how Jody mixed things up, by using stamps from the April kits with this months.
She used this month’s Dog stamp (see the “Don’t forget” stamp set above) and the Fox & Teepee from the “Get Foxy” set
This is what she had to say about her creation
“I used the fox and tepee again this month, as well as the dog stamp. I had stamped it a couple of times on a plain piece of notebook paper. I was planning to cut one out, but then later used the double image as is on the paper. Funny how ideas don’t always play out and you change things up as you go along!”
Seriously this months stamps are truly amazing and very inspiring.
Make sure you check out the store for all the stamps that are available this month.
Happy creating
